Stop Asking for Advice—Ask for Action Steps
Most people don’t need more advice. They need clear next steps.
We’ve all been there. You hit a wall, get overwhelmed, or just don’t know what to do next. So, you ask someone, “What do you think?” or “Do you have any advice?” And what do you get? Vague suggestions. Opinions. Stories. Maybe a shrug.
Here’s a better approach: Ask for action steps. Why? Because action moves you forward. Action is decisive and clear.
Instead of “What do you think I should do?” Try, “If you were in my shoes, what would be your first three steps?”
This simple shift turns conversations from theory to traction. It invites clarity, commitment, and momentum. So next time you're stuck, don’t ask for input, ask for movement.
